The idea of space is very compelling. It's a wonder why we're not talking about it all the time. You mean to tell me there's a whole infinity out there, and I'm expected to make piece with my minuscule corner of the sky? You're telling me that there is solid proof of black holes, and yet we can never truly be sure what happens when you go inside of one? You're saying that Earth is not only just a small part of one solar system, but that there are millions and millions and millions of other solar systems out there? Give me a second, champ. My head is spinning, just like the Earth.
It's no wonder, then, that we turn to science fiction to help us make sense of the universe's mysteries. We need good storytelling, or else our minds will bend too far and never snap back. This is why we have sci fi, and why we have sci fi memes. It keeps us sane.
